Nicolas, this is great,
“It is a love for the journey, not the end result in itself”.
This is true. But how does it come about?
By simply loving what you do makes you love the journey???
“Curiosity and an interest in your craft is enough. A love for what you do, day after day, is enough”.
Like raising kids. Every moment you are raising them is not about loving what you do, day after day.
The journey has a million parts. How can you love them all?
Or is it that you have the context that you love what you do no matter what? So when things don’t work out as planned and you have to course correct, you have an inner sense of freedom and joy.
That your meaning and fulfillment in life is because of your vision. A context that is bigger than yourself and being happy!!
It is context that is everything. Context gives us meaning. Not simply loving what we do.
If I wanted to focus on loving what I do no matter what I would have taken the easy route. I would still be an investment banker. I could have stayed curious about honing my craft and exploring the opportunities to no end.
I also agree when you say, “And true success is found within”.
But the journey has to be about giving to something bigger than yourself. Bigger than focused on doing what you love day after day and have that be enough.
Otherwise your relationships may crash and burn.
