Life is in a constant state of change. We always are engaged feedback. You only fail when you stop learning from each setback and simple settle”.
I have four children that went to Montessori through 6th grade. There were no grades. They built the child within by mastery.
Fast forward life a few years. Our local high school is contemplating a retake and replace the grade for those who earn a C- and below. Rather than a dead end path this allows for potential mastery of material they did not understand. A nearby district that is top rated in the state does this.
There is push back from many that believe children deserve to fail. What is our current education system creating in society by failing these kids? Many children would not fail if they were inspired and given a context for how cool it is to learn.
