Arianna, thank you for the great read. We can all see the writing on the wall.
I like when you say, “So Where Do We Go From Here? To solve our collective problems we need all the individual creativity, wisdom and intuition we can muster. And to access that, we need to create time and space for what makes us uniquely human. We need to be in control of our technology”.
I wholeheartedly agree that we need to create time and space for what makes us uniquely human.
I liked when you shared these thoughts with Oprah on a podcast last Mother’s Day. “We’re all talking about outer space and are we going to go to mars or venus. These are exciting projects. But I am more excited about exploring the inner space project. Exploring the inner space. To me that is the most exciting adventure……to keep getting closer to our essence”.
I feel that our essence is love. And many may not see this.
Human beings are trapped in their thoughts of who they have to be based on what thought tells them. They miss out on what it means to feel love. A love that is not your love or my love. A love that is as universal as salt and not the property of any religion.
I see this beginning early on, even in the current K-12 education system. Where children at a very young age are sorted, measured and labeled who they are. They often become fixed on what thought tells them are the possibilities for their life.
When in reality these children are creative geniuses. If they heard this growing up they may find a way to impact the world from the essence of who they are. Beyond what thought tells them.
I agree with your definition of Spirituality in the podcast with Oprah. “Spirituality is about knowing and feeling. Something that we bring into everything we are doing”.
When I listened to you and Oprah share your thoughts I felt the love and connection emanate through you both. This love and connection is a place of creativity that is bigger than ourselves. It is key to transforming life.
We are missing out by raising children in an education system that stifles them. By not showing them the essence of who they are is this creativity and love.
The world lacks love. The world at the moment is lacking the creativity to look at life in any different way other than thought as ruler.
I wish we could control technology. That is an individual thing and somewhat of a lost cause. But we can find a way to have the conversation that human consciousness beyond thought is real. This is the source of creativity, love and freedom.
When thought takes its proper place, it is no longer the placeholder to love. Then life is knowing and feeling the essence of what we are on a daily basis. This will reduce technology use, school shootings, terrorist attacks and all the other atrocities.
There is a powerful quote by Buckminister Fuller I read in a book by the late Stephen Covey, “The 8th Habit”.
“All children are born geniuses, 9,999 out of every 10,000 are swiftly, inadvertently degeniusized by grownups.- Buckminster Fuller.
I stopped on my treadmill when I read that!
